In and around Palisse

Palisse is a small hamlet set amongst beautiful French countryside between the towns of Aubettere and Riberac. Aubeterre has a river beach, tennis, canoeing and many good restaurants. Riberac is famous for it’s fantastic Friday morning markets that spread through most of the town. Not to be missed! Petit Bersac is our nearest main village with both a post office and a Boulangerie. There is an excellent Golf course about 10 minutes drive away.

Périgueux, Angoulême, and Cognac are all within reasonable distance of Palisse. The Bordeaux and Bergarac wine regions are also easily accessible - definitely a recommended trip! There are also historical sites nearby, in Aubettere an underground ancient church and near Angoulême, some examples of cave drawings. Near Poitiers there is the theme park Futuroscope which offers a good family day out!
